Yes, the transport workers had planned for a protest before the day of Ugadi festival, As they had problems with the salary hikes. Transport workers get a wage hike of only 10 percent this year whereas normal govt employees get 18 percent.
After having a high level meeting with the transport department, the bandh was canceled on 21 March 2023 and postponed after 2 days on 24 March 2023.
